About a year ago my friend Glenda, who you may be hearing a lot through out my posts, and I created a book club. It first started out great, then after a couple of meetings it was a challenge to set a time and date that worked for everyone. And yes, I neglected my book club as well as my blog, but as long as I didn't neglect my kids,right? Anyhow, This year I said, " I'm going to start something and follow through with it". So, I went back to reading a book I had stared to read about 3 years ago but never finished. The book is, Wonderland Avenue by Danny Surgerman. This book captured my interest because its about this kids who becomes friends with the legendary, Jim Morrison, who is my Idol. I'm Proud to say that I have been reading the book. My book club meets at the end of this month. I know I will be done with the book by then, I have to be!

The book sounds very interesting. I wish I was one of those kids, and yet I sort of feel I was because I was so enraptured by everything Jim Morrison did during my adolescence that I had to buy every book he ever read and read several bios on him...so in a sense I did get to know him and I'm differently more enlightened because I took that journey into his world...love your blogs pretty lady...keep them coming!
